What’s in the box?
That’s the question on everyone’s lips. Could it be a bomb, anthrax, a severed human head or just a glass bowl? This one act play follows small group of oddities as they try to unravel the mystery of the box, much to the annoyance of the poor man who just wants to sit and read his paper.
This brilliantly absurd comedy by Stephen Bean was part of our 2011 Mini Festival and was the directorial debut of Tom Everitt. The play starred James Wood, Alison Hartnett, Catherine Everitt, Dave Bowden and Ben Sansum and was adjudicated on the night by Heather Simpkin.
The evening also included two rehearsed readings of Alan Bennett’s Talking Heads, organised by Kath Gill and performed by Ceri Nicolson and Pia Obank.
