Read More ››by Rita Carpenter Front of House & Programme As always we received a warm welcome and shown to our seats which were well placed, except that they were in line with the door and during the interval when the door was kept open it was very cold and our feet froze but this may have been because it was a very cold day. Some of the chorus were used front of house showing people to their seats, selling raffle tickets and refreshments in their costumes which was a nice touch preparing the audience for the performance. Read More ››Just a reminder about the readings for our spring play “The Foreigner” which will be held this coming Sunday 22nd and Thursday 26th at 8pm in the Hall. The dates for the play are 27th and 28th April and 4th and 5th of May, with the dress rehearsal on Sunday 21st April. The play is a comedy written by Larry Shue. Read More ››Yes, that time of year has rolled round again and our ever-popular pantomime is in rehearsal! Dick Whittington will take to the stage on Fridays 13th, 20th, 27th January at 8pm, and Saturdays 14th, 21st and 28th at 2pm and 7pm. Please note that the Saturday matinees will start at 2pm (not 2.30pm as in the past). Our prices are still very reasonable at £7 Adults/£5 Concessions for the first Friday only and £10 Adults/£7 Concessions for all the other performances. PROGRAMME Designed by James Wood the programme was beautifully set out on high quality glossy paper and the picture on the front was brilliant. There was only a small reference to Noda and no logo which was a pity because this is the sort of programme that could have been entered in the Poster and Programme competition.
