About the group
The Lane End Players are a well established amateur theatre group based in the Buckinghamshire village of Lane End. For over fifty years the group have entertained audiences with a wide range of productions from Shakespeare to pantomimes.
Each year the LEP produce four productions (Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter). Usually the Spring and Autumn productions are straight plays or musicals and have included such popular shows as The Importance of Being Ernest, Anything Goes and Arsenic & Old Lace (to name but a few).
The Summer production is usually a light-hearted show with a mix of songs, dances and sketches which revolve around a theme. Themes have included Las Vegas, The Good The Bad & The Ugly and The Sound Of Musicals.
The Winter production is always our ever popular pantomime. We run for three weekends (9 performances in all) during January with popular titles such as Peter Pan, Cinderella, Aladdin and Babes in the Wood.
We always welcome new members. If performing on stage isn’t your thing then we have a very wide range of other activities. Lighting, sound, stage management, props, costume design, make-up, set-design, set painting and even Producing and Directing. If you want to join or find out more please visit see our Join Us page.
